Tricked Out Appliances for Those On Wheels

These are some tripped out appliances. This product set right here is called “Spot.” It’s full title is “Spot – Appliance Design for All.” Why? Because it’s designed for people who’re confined to wheelchairs or (I’d imagine) just short in stature. Three appliances, a fridge, a dishwasher, and an oven, for the supreme ease of use for all. (Post preview for everyone: I vote fridge for winner, how about you?)

On the oven there’s of course a touchscreen digital interface as well as motorized elevator rails for ease of access. The stove in any average home is fairly low anyway, so this one might not look that different, but the slightly lower stature and that elevator exhaust will really make all the difference in the long run.

On the dishwasher there’s once again digital controls with a touch screen, easy-access dish rack on top, and a fold over cover. Same deal as the oven in that it appears pretty much the same as a conventional oven, but the slight modifications make the difference.

The refrigerator has a heck of a lot of unconventional differences from your average fridge, somuchso that I’d friggin love to own one fer sure. Sliding trays and bins, an electr-magnetic door latch system (intense!), and LED night lights activated by a person sneaking around for a midnight snack. Touchscreen digital interface (didn’t see that one comin, did ya?!) Music player (wait, what?) with USB port for plugging in your USB keys and unloading a bunch of music for storage and play. Holy crap biggest MP3 player EVER! And of course a control panel choc-full of options like time, date, temp, music control, LED control, security lock (for those electro-magnets), and other general preferences.

Holy god’s own refrigerator, Batman!

With the decreasing size of the circuits, the devices are also taking their tiniest possible shapes every other day. Similar is the case with the Marvell Plug Computer 3.0, I guess.

We geeks love our gadgets. We get bored with simple office instant messaging to co-workers. We get creative. But of course our creativity ties back into our computers and a USB port. It started with ninja-geeks and weapon-shaped USB flash drives. However, that was not enough to spice things up around the office. The USB arms race began and sneaky office warfare has never been the same. Some USB weapons are fun to shoot at your office buddy, but some are used to strike fear in your cubicle neighbor’s heart. Guard your office, guard your room, guard your computer. Here are 17 USB “weapons” made by geeks for geeks, from FAIL to fantastic.

USB Ninja

Awaken ninja-geek with these weaponized USBs. First there is a USB knife, a Kunai shaped USB thumb drive with 2GB of storage capacity, a great solution for the Ninja spy. Or how about a Shuriken shaped USB which also holds 2GB of storage capacity that you can sneak out of the building or can throw the star to kill your opponent? These are perfect for the ninja-geek.

USB Bullets, Grenades, Chainsaws, Bombs

These are a few more USB weapon wannabes. The flash drive shaped like a large caliber bullet offers geeks both fashion and 1GB of function, plus it might put a bit of a scare into those people who see it. As in don’t anger that geek! More on the fail side are these brightly colored Grenade USB drives, but they do offer 4GB of memory. These next two should frighten your co-workers at the very least. The i-Saw is USB 2.0 compatible and offers a vicious five-volt trickle of destructive chainsaw power. The Bomb USB is one flash drive that we don’t think people would want to carry around in airports as they might actually get held up by airport security.

USB Tank Missile Launcher Steps Up Office Warfare

There is no better way to annoy a co-worker than with a barrage of tiny foam missiles with a RC tank that can deliver a payload at a distance from up to 12 feet. It can also be remotely controlled via the included USB Tank PC software that allows you to steer the tank and raise of lower the missile launcher. This might offer you some level of deniability since youll never be caught holding a remote.Theres no camera on board so youll need to have a line of sight in order to properly steer it into position, but it does have a wireless range of about 25 feet to give you a tiny head start when the inevitable and immediate retaliation begins.

USB Powered Gun

Here we begin a tour of USB-powered guns. Get ready to launch your flying foam missile attack on annoying co-workers. These do take some creative thinking, made by geeks to be appreciated by geeks. Those are some things all the USB weapons have in common. We’ll leave it up to you if a USB weapon is fantastic or fail.

DIY USB-Controlled Servo Squirter Water Pump

Straight from a nerd-kit, here is a DIY USB-controlled water squirter weapon. The steps are laid out in great details when you watch the video. The main plus factor to this USB gun is that it does more than fire foam darts or missiles. For example, your co-worker would be surprised to be blasted with water. Or if you have a cat that won’t stay away from your computer, pow-squirt! Kitty should then run away.

Azimut Concept Yacht with Timeless and Simple Design

The Azimut concept yacht is a 22.05 meter long (including the pulpit) luxury boat that has been designed in a simple and innovative way that can fit any harbor. It’s clean, new, timeless and simple design allows it silent operation. The main inspiration behind the project was to offer the passengers their own prospect to choose and making the decision as simple as possible. The big wings at the back is helping decrease and insulate the huge amount of water and wind drag which has made the yacht different from any other around. Passengers of the yacht, especially those who will seat back-part of it, will remain dry at any speed with the help of these functional wings.

Passengers will have great view over the big window located at the front of the boat, stretching to the roof from the floor. The on top LED light integrated lantern will make it easy to dock the boat at night. Upper deck is surrounded by glass to provide easy controlling the boat without disturbing pillars. This gives a much better view as well while giving a more open feeling. Outside the deck, there are security rails as a part of the hull structure that elongates backwards with the wings. A thin glass is designed to rise from the hull at the front to attach the wings at the back, making the boat simple and clean.

The interior of the lower deck is separated in two different parts, one is a private section and another one is an open lounge area, allowing the passengers to rest for a while or participate in social activities as they want. The master bedroom is located in the center which is the best place to be maximum comfortable because of the stability during any directional movements of the yacht. This concept won the award from azimut, and was shown at Piazza San Carlo in Turin ITALY in a big Azimut Event.
