Our hearts reach out to the people of Haiti who are trying to pick up the pieces in the aftermath of this week’s horrific earthquake. The country still has an incredibly long road ahead of them – first, in rescuing survivors and then providing them with safe, healthy and environmentally friendly shelters. Since Hurricane Katrina, a number of individuals and companies have worked to develop new and improved emergency relief structures. Read on to see the ones that we hope can be put to use in Haiti.

I always wonder how strange, weird and scary things inspire people to be creative. Somehow, I cannot shake the feeling that somethings just have a negative feel around them, and nothing good can come out of them. I have always had that feeling about skulls, wherever I have seen skulls i have disliked them. But, this artist has proved me wrong, I must admit Faiyaz Jafri’s digital skulls art looks really menacing but is absolutely eye-catching. The stainless steel balls that cover the entire face are so appropriately placed that they make it glitter menacingly.

This illustration brings out the fact that we can be inspired by anything in the world around us, if we chose to see it in a positive way. Guess, I will have to change the way I look at certain things.

If you want to look at art inspired by skulls then you should take a look at the Wasted Youth Shelf Skull Art and the Thirteen Skulls Art.

With the advancement of technology, digital world is opening up new paths every other day starting from micro and mini chips to smallest integrated circuits. With the decreasing size of the circuits, the devices are also taking their tiniest possible shapes every other day. Similar is the case with the Marvell Plug Computer 3.0, I guess.
The Marvells latest Plug Computer 3.0 is probably one of the tiniest PC you have ever seen. This tiny PC is featured with an in-built 1.8-inch hard disk drive of unspecified capacity, a faster CPU, an integrated Bluetooth, WiFi and also an USB port. The device can be easily connected to an external hard drive or a printer too. And the biggest thing in this tiny device is that it uses only one tenth of the power as compared to a regular PC, which is no doubt a great feature.

Powered by Armada 300 processor, the Plug Computer 3.0 in no way is weaker than any regular computer and comes with Linux 2.6. This tiny, yet high performing PC will be sold as a part of a developer kit at the first shot, with an introductory price of $99 only. The official release of Marvells Plug Computer 3.0 is highly awaited, for it is expected to open up new paths and applications in the fields of Home Automation, Medical Monitoring, Agriculture, Security and Access Control and many more. For more such PC collections, check out with the Pico Bayard Mini Computer and the World’s Smallest PC In The Space Cube.
